Jazzpiano & Percussion Extravaganza
Mathias Claus / PiTTi Hecht
Salsa, Jazz und Contemporary World Music

With one of the most prominent German percussion experts and specialists,
Pitti Hecht, the pianist offers a new duo-event, which is dedicated to Salsa, Latin,
Contemporary World Music and Jazz. Pitti performed with international stars such as
Chick Corea, Randy Crawford, Dianne Reeves, as well as German heros
as Paul Kuhn, Roger Cicero or the Scorpions.
As an endorser, he represents global companies such as percussion manufacturers "Latin Percussion" on
fairs such as the NAMM Show Los Angeles or Frankfurt Music Fair, and is a specialist author
in major German magazines for percussion instruments. He is "Percussion World Record Holder" and plays regularly at eye level with hip
Percussion international experts such as Nippy Noya, Alex Acuna and Raul Rekow (Santana).

The Braunschweiger Zeitung writes about the first gig of the duo:
"Mathias Claus on the jazz piano with his melodies, which impressed musically and technically and explored the whole range of his instrument.
Their virtuosity and pace left no foot standing still, so that already after the second piece calls of enthusiasm from the audience were heard.
During the evening, the percussionist convinced consistently as accompanist and soloist, either on congas or only a rattle-egg."

Instruments:
Mathias Claus - Jazzpiano
PiTTi Hecht - Cajon, Congas, Djembe and Small Percussion.

Repertoire:
The repertoire includes virtuosic compositions by Chick Corea to Michel Camilo,
known Salsa and Latin classics such as Manteca and A Night in Tunisia, as well as
original compositions, traditional adaptions of evergreens such as Danny Boy or
Guantanamera in World Music style, and of course percussion solo performances.

Press:
"Pitti Hecht is one of the most booked percussionists and drummers in Europe
- His versatility seems limitless ... "(quote Volker Schulz, NDR).

"Age does not protect against love ..." "gRENZenlos verjazzt"
with Georg Renz (singing, recitation, moderator)
Mathias Claus (jazz piano)
Andreas Pasternack (saxophone)

Two experts with a nostalgic-hilarious "Schmunzelprogramm" about love and partnership. Jazz comedy with jazzed old German film hits and literary recitations by Tucholsky, Kästner, Busch and other literati.
Swing and smile with a mixture of German-swing, intelligence and humor into May, though none of the "little problems" that we have with dear love and marriage are left out. George Renz by Braunschweig State Theater about chat rooms, dating sites, love, aging and beauty craze, no eye will keep dry, simply ambrosial, artistic, humorous, endearing and always with class. Especially for loving couples a fun treat to take a look in the mirror and to steer with renewed awareness of the partnership into the next year of marriage.

Musical Director is the jazz pianist Mathias Claus, who is brilliantly completing the swinging evening and who by the way presents his brand-new jazz CD at Papenteich.
As a special guest star the winner of the Rostock Culture Award and NDR Jazz editor Andrew Pasternack is expected. One of the best swing saxophonists in northern Germany.
First-class entertainent, swing and smile until you drop at the community center to Schwülper.
